MURPHY PLANT & AGRI HIRE HILL CLIMB
The club held a very successful hill climb over the Christmas break over twenty-five brave souls took part on a very wet and misty morning in the Bragan Mountains. This event was held over a very tough two-mile course in the Mountains. There were some excellent times set by the young and not so young riders. The results is as follows

The club are going to make this an annual event and would like to say thanks to Martin & Aiden Murphy for their generous sponsorship of this event.

Christmas and New Year period Round Up
Paul Brady, Aiden Mc Donald and Pauric Kane travel to Fintona Cycling Club on Christmas day to compete in the Kevin Mulholland Memorial time-trial. A total of Twenty-Five competitors entered this event that is a traditional work out before the Christmas dinner every year. The Emyvale Cyclists did there club proud at this event with Paul Brady taking second place in a very tough finish to Kenny Boylan Lakeland.C.C just getting Brady on the line. And well done to Aiden Mc Donald who finished in the top 10 and also to Patrick Kane who took the under 14 Prize on the day. These Cyclists had no problem eating there Christmas dinner after this event.

BIKE SKILLS AND ACTIVITY DAY
The Club are hosting a bike skills and activity day on the 11.02.06.
At 10am at the Donagh sports .The club will be getting in touch by letter with all young cyclists that took part in the Skills training during last summer to brush up on the safety of cycling on road and off road. Any body wishing to take part can contact. TOURING ACTIVITY
The touring club was very active over the Christmas and the New Year period with 20 cyclists out on the Christmas day run and also out on St Stephens and also on the 27-12-05.And also on New-Years day and the 2.1.06 clocking up over 200 miles which is great winter training for these Cyclists so start as you mean to go on.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS
I know I am late but as the saying goes better late than never. The club would like to extend a warm merry Christmas to all members’ cyclists’ officials supporters and their families and may they also have a happy and peaceful new year. The club would like to thank the Northern Standard, Northern Sound, Peader Mc Mahon, and The Garda in Emyvale & Monaghan, Murphy Video Services for their entire help through out the year helping to spread the word of cycling in Monaghan and further a field.

CONGRATULATIONS
Barry Cassidy has finally and at long last has blew the dust of his money and done the honourable thing and has got a Beautiful Sparkling Engagement ring for Linda. The club wishes Barry & Linda lots of good wishes in 06 .I hope this dose not slow you down Barry as the saying goes it is like a Wheel- Barrow it is all in front of you

DINNER DANCE
The Club Dinner Dance will be held on the 18-02-06 more details of time and venue in the coming weeks.
