HUGHES MAKES ULSTER TEAM
Local rider Barry Hughes has been pick to represent his club on the Ulster
team that are competing in Manchester this week. Barry flew out first class
from Belfast to Manchester on Sunday Morning. Barry is part of a 14 man Cycling
Ulster Youth track squad that will be competing over a 3 day track session
on the back of a very successful October trip.
I spoke with Barry on Saturday Morning and he is looking forward to this trip
as he feels is in very good shape with all his training over the long winter
months. Barry is no stranger to competing on the boards in Manchester as he
had a top 3 finish in Manchester track league. Hopefully Barry will be in
the medals this time around and do his club proud again. Michael Mc Aree missed
out on a place this time due to flu that he is getting it hard to shake off.
More news next week on how Barry got on in Manchester.
