Double win for Hughes
















There was a good show of Emyvale riders in the underage, junior and senior
events in Stamullen two day last weekend. The star of the weekend was young
Colin Hughes the up and coming U12 rider who did the double by winning the
two day race in style.
Pauric Kane and Stephen Mc Donald ride well in the U16 race as did Niall Mc
Aree in the U14 race, which all got placed.
In the junior Category Barry Hughes was forced to pull out on Saturday due
to mechanical trouble but recovered well to take fifth place in the big race
on Sunday.
There was a big show of Emyvale riders in the senior category. Paul Brady,
Aiden Mc Donald, Barry and Stephen Cassidy and Jonathan Gormley attended the
race and all competed very well as there was a big field of riders The club
would like to say well done to all the riders.

Easter Draw
There was a large turnout for the Easter Draw in the Scarna Inn on Saturday

2nd Prize Seamus Mulligan: Threemilehouse
3rd Prize Ciera Cullen Ballinagh Co Cavan
The club would like to say thanks to all the tickets sellers and to
everybody who supported our Easter Draw


Corkman 3:Day
The Corkman 3 day takes place over the bank holiday weekend of the 29th
April to the 1st of May this event is hosted by the Kanturk CU: C.C
The club will be sending a team down on the Friday afternoon would all
cyclist wishing to take part in this event please contact Fergal Hughes,
Laurence Mc Aree or Kathleen Kane for travelling arrangements and
accommodation

Inter Club
The club will be hosting the first round of this event on the 9th May at
Aughnacloy.
Team Manager Frank Murphy will be looking for a very strong showing for this
event and trough out the duration of this event
Frank is calling on all riders from the touring section and to all those
riders that do be flexing their skills and mussels on a Sunday Morning and
the underage riders to but there names forward for this event

Touring Club News
The Touring Club will be departing from the Scarna Inn at 9:30am Sharp every
Sunday Morning would all riders please make a effort to be at the Scarna Inn
on time as the route will be decided from there. The touring club will be
increasing the miles from this Sunday up to around 100 miles for training
for all the big tours coming up in the summer.
